Businesses within the Old Town Cape Districts of Haarig, upper Broadway and the downtown area, will be recognized for their window displays monthly through the "Glass Act" window decorating competition.
All businesses are eligible for the competition, said Catherine Dunlap-Stock, executive director of Old Town Cape.
Judging will take place the last week of each month, with the award to be presented the first day of the month starting July 1.
"Designing an appealing window takes time, effort and thought, but is worth it the terms of the business it can generate," said committee chairman Charlie Kent, owner of Curious Goods on Broadway.
"Window shopping is still an American pastime," he said.
