Since many of those people have jobs to get to, street sales generally end by 9 a.m. Any copies remaining will be sold at the Southeast Missourian offices at 310 Broadway.

This year's YELL edition has a millennium theme. It includes essays written by third-graders last spring on their predictions for the future, historical front pages from the Southeast Missourian, a timeline of the last 1,000 years and pictures and stories from area families.

Be on the look out when you open your YELL paper. More than 900 coupons on brightly colored paper that can be redeemed for prizes have been inserted randomly in the papers. Coupons should be taken to the Southeast Missourian to be redeemed for prizes, which range from St. Louis Cardinal tickets to hotel stays to gift certificates to concert tickets. Since some of the prize tickets are for specific dates, the coupons should be redeemed as soon as possible.
