Members and guests are encouraged to bring stories, pictures, documents and artifacts relating to their Cape Girardeau County ancestors who served in the Civil War. Information will be included in a book the Society is assembling about resident of Cape County who served during the war.

The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society is an organization of some 200 members that meets on the fourth Tuesday of alternate months. Non-members are welcomed at all meetings. For more information, call Bill Eddleman at (573) 335-1507.
