GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY TO MEET

The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Riverside Regional Library in Jackson at 7:30 p.m. The program will be given by those members attending on the topic of "Cape Girardeau County Civil War Soldiers."

Members and guests are encouraged to bring stories, pictures, documents and artifacts relating to their Cape Girardeau County ancestors who served in the Civil War. Information will be included in a book the Society is assembling about resident of Cape County who served during the war.

The Cape Girardeau County Genealogical Society is an organization of some 200 members that meets on the fourth Tuesday of alternate months. Non-members are welcomed at all meetings. For more information, call Bill Eddleman at (573) 335-1507.
