GEARED FOR THOSE 50 AND OLDER: HEART WALKERS BEGINS OCT. 12

The American Heart Association Heart Walkers program will begin Oct. 12 and will run through Feb. 12.

The program is geared for people 50 years of age and older and serves as an incentive for these people to walk at least three times a week.

Locations for the program are West Park Mall, Southeast Missouri State University Recreation Center, Chateau Girardeau, Fountainbleau Lodge and Lindenwood Apartments.

Volunteer site coordinators are needed for the mall and the recreation center.
