GATHMAN EXCELS AT DEBATE COMPETITION

Truman State University student Cabell Gathman, of Pocahantas, placed second in poetry interpretation in a competition at the University of Texas-Tyler recently.

Gathman, a sophomore philosophy and religion major, competed as a member of the Truman debate and forensics team.

Truman State is recognized as one of Missouri's premier liberal arts and sciences universities and has been recognized repeatedly as one of the nation's best educational values. Truman was recognized again as the number one public university for providing a qualify education in the Midwest region by U.S. News & World Report.
