It may not be Christmas yet, but the Cape Girardeau Public School Foundation figures it's never too early to turn in a wish list.

"This fund raiser is primarily to raise funds to help complete a wish list for the new Cape senior high school," said D.D. Buerkle, chairperson of a foundation fund raiser to be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The fund raiser is being called "All the Right Ingredients" and will consist of a cash bar, cocktail buffet, silent auction and live music by Mid Life Crisis. Dress is "uptown casual," according to organizers. The cost is $100 for singles and $150 for couples.

Among other items, the buffet will include carved tenderloin with horseradish sauce, canapés, smoked salmon, asparagus spears and chicken kabobs. Silent auction items will include a $600 fax machine, an $800 loveseat and $100 savings bonds.

"We picked the name 'All the Right Ingredients' because it is a fund raiser to give back to all the wonderful people who have supported the new high school and the public school foundation," Buerkle said. "It is intended to provide camaraderie within the community, and at the same time, raise money for a great cause by having it at a chic place with delicious food and a phenomenal band."

Tickets may be purchased at Piccadilly's, Stevens Chiropractic Clinic, C.P. McGinty's, Shivelbine's Music Store, Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shop and Kwik Kopy Printing or by calling the foundation at 651-0555.

Reservations must be made no later than Wednesday. Attendants may pay at the door, but food will be limited to the reservations made.
