FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Fruitland Livestock Auction Tuesday. Receipts, 596; last week, 523; last year, 996, Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers over 600 lbs sold steady to 1.00 higher, the rest of the offering sold 2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower; Demand and supply light. The quality of the offering was much less than last week. Cows made up approximately 23 percent of the run, feeders 77 percent. Steers made up approximately 47 percent of the offering, 53 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 14 percent.

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1 500-525 lbs 92.00-93.50. Medium and Large 1-2 250-300 lbs 100.00-101.00; 300-325 lbs 95.00-104.00; 400-500 lbs 82.00-94.00; 500-600 lbs 82.25-87.00; 600-650 lbs 75.00-83.50; 725-750 lbs 79.00-81.75; 800-850 lbs 70.50-80.50. Medium and Large 2 250-300 lbs 94.00-95.00; 300-400 lbs 85.00-92.00; 425-500 lbs 77.50-78.75; 500-550 lbs 70.25-78.50.

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 250-300 lbs 87.00-90.00; 300-400 lbs 80.50-88.00; 400-500 lbs 82.25-92.00; 500-600 lbs 76.75-86.50; 600-650 lbs 72.00-74.00; 700-775 lbs 67.50-74.27; 900-950 lbs 55.25-58.50.

Cow-calf pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 4-7 yrs 850-1375 lbs, with calves from babies to 250 lbs, 610.00-790.00 per pair; 8 yrs. to short and solid mouth 420.00-580.00 per pair.

PATTON, Mo. -- Patton Junction Livestock Auction Monday. Receipts, 1,353; week ago, 1,313; last Year, 1,610. Compared to last week steers and heifers sold steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower; Demand moderate to light at end of sale, and supply moderate. Order buyer were very selective on quality this week, there was however some farmer feeders buying to help fill the void. Cows and bulls made up approximately 8 percent of the run, 92 percent feeders. Steers made up approximately 51 percent and 49 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 18 percent.

Feeder steers: Medium and large 1 300-350 lbs 105.00-109.00; 400-450 lbs Medium and Large 1-2 250-300 lbs 109.00-113.00; 350-400 lbs 91.00-101.00; 400- 500 lbs 85.50-96.50; 500-600 lbs 83.50-92.50; 600-700 lbs 80.00-90.50; 700-750 lbs 76.00-86.00; 800-875 lbs 79.50-80.50. Medium and Large 2 300-350 lbs 85.00-92.50; 400-500 lbs 75.00-85.50; 500-600 lbs 72.00-82.50; 600-700 lbs 72.50-80.50; 700-750 lbs 68.00-72.00.
