David Crader, president of Capital Bank of Perryville, and Christopher Mudd, vice president of Perryville Capital Bank, head up the Perryville Community Division, with a goal of $10,000. Edward P. Gargas, special agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., is chairing the Family Division of the campaign, with a goal of $6,600.

The Shawnee District -- one of 14 districts in the St. Louis Area Council, which covers 26 counties in Missouri, -- has almost 2,000 youths enrolled in Scouting, a figure which represents more than one in three youths of Scouting age in the area. Total membership in the St. Louis Council is about 58,000.

These youths are members of 49 Scouting units -- Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Explorer posts and an in-school Career Awareness program at Scott City High School.

The fund-raising campaign will continue through the end of March. Contributions may be made by contacting any of the persons listed here or by contacting Tony Smee, Shawnee District executive at the Raymond A. Ritter Boy Scout Service Center in Cape Girardeau.
