STE. GENEVIEVE -- French Heritage Weekend will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Ste. Genevieve.
The event celebrating the community's Gallic roots will feature sidewalk artists, quilting demonstrations, garden tours, French food in the village's restaurants, an art show, entertainment and activities for children.
All activities are free.
The festivities will kick off with a garden party reception at 7 p.m. Friday at the Inn Ste. Gemme Beauvais, 78 N. Main St.
Artisans will be set up throughout downtown Saturday and Sunday, with an art show in Lion's Club Park.
Holy Cross Lutheran Church will be open for tours and will offer a quilt display. Quilting demonstrations will be given at the Main Street Inn.
The Dixieland Express will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Lion's Club Park.
Garden tours will leave from the Interpretive Center at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
