Parts of Southeast Missouri remain under a freeze warning for a few more hours this morning. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to remain at or below 32 degrees until 9 a.m., when the warning will expire.
Another freeze or frost event is possible later this evening into Wednesday morning, when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark. Frost could form between 3 and 9 a.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service said that frost could be widespread, prompting the freeze watch set to expire sometime Wednesday morning.
At 7:30 a.m., the temperature in Cape Girardeau was 28 degrees. Today's high is expected to reach 52 degrees.
