A Sedgewickville, Mo., boy was injured in a four-wheeler mishap Wednesday, and two Jackson, Mo., residents were hurt in an accident Thursday.
Dustin Mungle, 12, of Sedgewickville was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Wednesday after the four-wheeler he was a passenger on and another vehicle collided on County Road 236 in Bollinger County. The accident occurred at 5 p.m., north of Route WW.
The driver of the four-wheeler, Michael Mungle, 12, of Sedgewickville and the driver of the other vehicle, Debbie Schnurbusch, 36, of Sedgewickville were not injured.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the two vehicles met at a curve on a narrow road. The four-wheeler attempted to avoid the car by turning left, and the car struck the four-wheeler in the side.
In the other accident, Victor Douglass, 48, and Benjamin Douglass, 10, both of Jackson, were taken to Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo., with moderate injuries. The accident occurred at 2:10 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 60, four miles west of Dudley, Mo.
The driver of the other vehicle, Robert McKay, 36, of Dexter, Mo., sustained injuries.
The Highway Patrol said the accident occurred when the Douglass vehicle turned into the path of the McKay vehicle.
