CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Four Southeast Missouri State University students from Cape Girardeau have been named to the 1991 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Jeana L. Johnson, Michael Christopher Stone, Corey J. Muench and Johnda R. Boyce were among the 23 Southeast students selected as national outstanding leaders.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

Johnson is majoring in psychology at Southeast. She is president of Alpha Chi Omega social sorority, member of Order of Omega Greek honorary society, All University Judicial Board, Psychology Club and 1990 Homecoming Court.

Stone, a recreation major, is president of the Association for Recreation, Health and Outdoor Adventure, student director of Friends of Special Olympics, and was awarded the Outstanding Service Award from the United States Association of Blind Athletes.

Muench, a French major, is public relations officer of the Council of International Organizations and a member of Student Activities Association, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and Residence Life Judicial Board. Muench is also a Governor's Scholar.

Boyce is an interdisciplinary (political science, philosophy and women's studies) major at Southeast. She is a member of the Affirmative Action Committee, Student Affairs Committee, University AIDS Committee, All University Judicial Board and Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Orchestra.

Outstanding students have been honored in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges since it was first published in 1934.
