ST. LOUIS -- Two women and two children were killed Saturday in a fiery one-car accident in north St. Louis County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The driver and a young passenger survived the wreck, which happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Missouri Bottom Road at Interstate 270.

The victims were identified as LaFonda Boykin, 32, of St. Louis; and St. Charles residents Jacqueline Wilson, 33, Latasha Wilson, 14, and Chelsea Wilson, believed to be about 3.

The patrol said the car left northbound I-270 onto Missouri Bottom at high speed, struck a traffic signal and overturned several times. The driver and four passengers were thrown from the car, which caught fire.
