SIKESTON -- All four occupants of a vehicle were killed early Sunday morning in single-car accident north of Sikeston.
The dead were identified as Jerry Lee Tinnin, 20, Seth Howard, 16, and Tiffany Kristine Jackson, 15, all of Sikeston, and Joshua Groves, 20, of East Prairie.
The Sikeston Department of Public Safety said the victims' car failed to negotiate a curve on North Ingram Road near the Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Grounds. The car flipped into a water-filled ditch. Police didn't discover the car until about eight hours after the mishap. Police believe the accident occurred Sunday around 2:45 a.m.
Funeral arrangements for the victims were pending Sunday evening.
In other Missouri fatal accidents over the weekend, the Associated Press reported a Raytown man died in a motorcycle accident in southwest Missouri.
Gary Juchet, 34, was killed when the front tire of his motorcycle struck the back tire of another motorcycle near Chadwick about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Juchet was thrown into a tree, the patrol said.
Gary Roller Jr., 18, was killed about 5 a.m. Saturday when the car he was driving crashed into a vacant brick building in south St. Louis, police said. He was being pursued by police when the accident happened.
