Four people were injured in a crash on southbound Interstate 55 Friday night. Four people were injured in a crash on southbound Interstate 55 Friday night.

About 7:40 p.m., Eugene Gallion, 38, of Kennett, Missouri, was driving a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country in the left lane at mile marker 107.2 in Cape Girardeau County when he traveled into the right lane and struck the left rear of a 2001 Honda Accord driven by Vincent Vanheusen, 52, of High Ridge, Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Honda traveled off the right side of the road, while the Chrysler went off the left side, striking the cable barrier.

Vahnheusen received minor injuries. Gallion and his passengers, Cody and Margret Morgan of Holcomb, Missouri, were moderately injured and taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
