FOUR FROM THE REGION WORK WITH CONGRESSMAN

Three youths from Cape Girardeau County have completed summer internships on Capitol Hill with U.S. Rep. Bill Emerson.

Emerson said they worked on a variety of projects in the Eighth District Congressman's Washington D.C. office.

Intern John Cozean, a May graduate of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C., with a degree in speech-communication, is also an alumnus of Cape Girardeau High School. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Cozean of Cape Girardeau;

Jason Crowell is seeking an economics degree at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and plans to attend law school. He is a 1990 graduate of Central High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Crowell of Cape Girardeau;

Len Waldron is enrolled at Wake Forest University and just before his internship with Emerson completed special training at the Army Airborne school. He is an alumnus of Jackson High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Waldron of Jackson.

Emerson also sponsored Courtney Hunter of Dexter to serve this summer as a Page in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is a junior at Dexter High School and daughter of Pat Hunter of Bloomfield and the late Johnny Hunter of Bloomfield.
