Four departments respond to Nash Road fire
Firefighters from Cape Girardeau, Gordonville, Jackson and Scott City extinguish a blaze Tuesday at Leggett & Platt Inc. on Nash Road. Cape Girardeau fire chief Rick Ennis said the fire spread from a furnace and processing equipment onto the roof; the department estimated damages at $200,000. No injuries were reported. Leggett & Platt manufactures mattress and recliner components and other products.
