Cape Girardeau police officers arrested four boys Tuesday at 1518 Bloomfield St. after a neighbor reported suspicious activity at the residence.

Police believe the boys, ages 14 to 16, are responsible for numerous residential burglaries and thefts from vehicles that have occurred in Cape Girardeau over the last week.

"Some stolen property was recovered from several locations," said Cape Girardeau police officer Darren Hickey. "I don't know where it was received from yet. We're still investigating."

Sgt. Jason Selzer said many of the recovered items were electronics, such as gaming systems and computers.

Lt. Chris Mouser of the Jackson Police Department said his agency is also investigating a number of thefts from vehicles. A total of 10 thefts were reported Wednesday in Jackson.

The department has no suspect in custody.
