BENTON, Mo. -- Four Scott County residents were arrested recently on drug-related charges in separate incidents.
Adam T. Kimball, 19, of Sikeston has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter.
Kimball's vehicle was stopped Tuesday evening after a deputy noticed the vehicle weaving back and forth across the roadway.
After the deputy noticed Kimball appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a search of the vehicle revealed that Kimball was in possession of a controlled substance. The method of packaging along with other paraphernalia found in the search was consistent with a person attempting to sell or distribute, according to the news release.
Kimball posted a $35,000 bond and is scheduled appear in court April 21.
Terrial Tyler, 35, of Haywood City and Maria J. Ferrell, 28, of Morley were arrested Thursday after an undercover narcotic investigation lead to a search warrant for Ferrell's home in Morley.
During the search of the home, deputies discovered a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash inside the residence, according to the news release.
Tyler has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and Ferrell has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
As of press time, both of them remained in custody with a bond of $10,000 set for each of them.
Clara J. Tyler, 54, of Haywood City was arrested Thursday and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff's deputies went to the Tyler residence to arrest her on a 2004 warrant for possession of a controlled substance. While deputies were at the residence, Tyler gave consent for a search of her residence. Deputies then located controlled substance and drug paraphernalia inside the home which resulted in the filing of additional charges, according to the news release.
Clara Tyler's bond was posted and she was released.
