A Parma, Mo., man was seriously hurt in one of four injury accidents on Southeast Missouri roads Tuesday.
Jeremie Johnson, 22, was taken to Dexter Memorial Hospital at Dexter, Mo., after the 7:30 p.m. accident on state Highway 153, three miles north of Parma.
He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Jon Wilson, 21, of Lilbourn, Mo. Wilson sustained minor injuries.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that Wilson lost control of his vehicle before it ran off the road and overturned several times.
Winfred Spain, 52, of Fredericktown, Mo., was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries after the 11:30 a.m. accident. It occurred on state Highway 51, two miles south of Zalma, Mo.
The driver of the other vehicle, Deborah Smith, 36, of Zalma was not injured.
The patrol reported that Smith's tire blew out, causing the trailer she was pulling to detach and sending it into oncoming traffic. Spain's vehicle struck the trailer head-on, running off the road and overturning.
Tammy McClung, 31, of Cape Girardeau sustained moderate injuries in an accident at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 61, a mile south of Morley, Mo. The driver of the other vehicle, Joe Womack of Sikeston, Mo., was not injured.
The patrol reported that both vehicles were southbound when MClung's vehicle struck Womack's vehicle in the rear. McClung was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to yield.
Sherry Gordon, 41, of Glenallen, Mo., received moderate injuries in an accident on County Road 438, two miles east of Leopold, Mo. She was taken to St. Francis Medical Center after the 7:45 a.m. Wednesday accident.
The other driver, Joe Locke, 64, of Delta, Mo., was not injured.
The patrol reported that Gordon's vehicle crossed the center of the road while cresting a hill and struck Locke's vehicle.
