The residents and staff of Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau are gearing up for a fund-raising fun fair on Saturday.
The day-long celebration will feature a dunking booth, bingo, magic show, car wash, square dancing, music and other events to benefit the work of the American Heart Association. Activities will be held at the Fountainbleau facility at 2001 N. Kingshighway.
A highlight of the day will be a raffle, which will include such items as a three-day, two-night trip to Union Station in St. Louis, a 13 inch color T.V., and a $100 savings bond.
The facility held an official kickoff for the event last Saturday, when staff and families joined in a walk-a-thon on behalf of each of the residents of Fountainbleau Lodge.
Nursing homes and senior citizens in towns across the nation raise funds for the American Heart Association. The public is invited to attend this Saturday fund-raising activity.
