A former Holcomb, Missouri, police officer waived a preliminary hearing Friday in Division II of the Dunklin County 35th Circuit Court.
Alvin Roberts will appear before Circuit Court Judge Robert Mayer during Law Day proceedings in Division I on Sept. 10 in Kennett, Missouri. His arraignment is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
Roberts was arrested in May by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Drug and Crime Control Unit, after he allegedly warned a woman that she was sought by police for burglary. Roberts apparently was using the woman to get information on drug investigations. Roberts is accused of continuing to be in contact with the woman after he knew a warrant was issued for her arrest.
