Former Mo. teacher accused of statutory rape

SALEM, Mo. (AP) -- A former southeast Missouri high school teacher has been charged with two counts of statutory rape and one count of enticement of a child.

Dent County prosecutors say 36-year-old Dusty Arzt had an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student between November 2008 and January 2009.

The former Salem Junior High teacher resigned from his coaching position earlier this month and was charged last week. His arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 3.
