FORMER LEEROWAN OFFICIAL NAMED BANQUET SPEAKER

The Jackson Chamber of Commerce has announced that Desmond Lee, formerly of LeeRowan, will be the speaker at the June 18 Chamber JIDC banquet.

Chamber Executive Director Ken Parrett also told the 22 members present at a recent meeting that they should be signing up for the Educator of the Year banquet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Route 25 Banquet Hall.

Two new members have been added to the chamber's board of directors. They are Eric Maschhoff and Mary Miller. Darryl Aufdenberg, Gina Bader and Jennifer Caronna-Smith have agreed to stay on the board.

Members discussed a business showcase, which remains in the planning stage. The idea is to have businesses set up their wares and services at the Jaycees Stroder Country, across from Pioneer Orchard.
