A retired police lieutenant from El Paso, Texas, entered a guilty plea to second-degree robbery in circuit court Monday. Jeffrey Earl Lattimer, 48, who lives in Jackson, was accused of robbing the Horst Pharmacy in Jackson on Nov. 2. He was arrested a little more than a week after the robbery. He was arrested a little more than a week after the robbery. With his plea, Lattimer admitted to taking Fioricet, Xanax and Valium from the pharmacy by claiming he had an explosive device in a gym bag he was carrying.

Lattimer will be sentenced Aug. 15.
