Doug Kaminskey, formerly environmental services coordinator for the city of Cape Girardeau, has joined the private sector.
Kaminskey has become a partner in the Lincoln & McBride Paint and Aluminum Co., of Jackson.
"I enjoyed my job for Cape Girardeau," said Kaminskey of his 13-year association with the city. "I had a chance to get into business for myself and decided to take it.
He joins Bob Myer as a partner in the Jackson business.
Lincoln & McBride, 622 Highway 72 West, sells and installs aluminum siding for both residential and commercial buildings, patio covers and carports. The company also offers a full line of storm windows and storm doors.
"We also have a full line of MAB paints and supplies," said Kaminskey.
Meyr has operated the business 17 years.
Chester Lincoln and Earl McBride founded the business 35 years ago.
The firm is open 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
