PERRYVILLE -- Ken Reitz, a former St. Louis Cardinal baseball player, will present a drug-abuse prevention program to Perryville grade school and high school students Monday and Tuesday.

Reitz had a promising professional baseball career during the 1970s thwarted by his drug-abuse problems. Since rehabilitation, he has traveled around the country speaking on drug-abuse prevention.

Monday, he will be at Immanuel Lutheran Grade School from 12:30-1:30 p.m.. He will speak to students at St. Vincent's Catholic High School from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday.

On Tuesday, Reitz will be at the Perryville Junior High School gymnasium from 9-11:30 a.m. to speak to junior high and high school students.
