RIVERS:
Castor (above Zalma): Clear, low; bass good on artificial lures and topwater lures; all other species slow.
Current: Clear, 1' below normal; all species slow to fair on artificial and natural bait.
Jack's Fork: Clear, 1/2' below normal; all species slow.
Meramec (below Eureka): Slightly murky due to algae, low; catfish fair on live bait; bass fair on artificial lures.
Mississippi (below Charleston): Normal; catfish excellent on pole and line and jugs off dikes with worms and cut bait; all other species fair.
St. Francis (below Wappapello): Extremely low; all species slow.
St. Francis (above Wappapello): Clear, low; black bass good on artificial lures, topwater lures and jig and pig; all other species slow.
LAKES:
Bull Shoals (East): Clear, 1' above normal; black bass fair on plastic worms and crankbaits; white bass fair on stinkbaits and shad; bluegill good on crickets and nightcrawlers; catfish fair on shad and nightcrawlers using pole and line and on hot dogs and live bait using jugs; all other species slow.
Bull Shoals: Normal; bluegill good; black bass fair to good on topwater lures during early a.m. and late p.m.; walleye and white bass fair.
Clearwater: Clear, normal; crappie good on minnows; black bass fair on plastic worms; catfish good on live bait using juglines; bluegill good on crickets and worms along bank; carp good on canned corn using rod and reel; all other species slow.
Council Bluff: Clear, low; all species fair.
Duck Creek: Bass good on topwater lures from sunset to sunrise; all other species slow; vegetation 90 percent.
Lake of the Ozarks (Bagnell tailwater): Low, clear; all species slow to fair.
Lake of the Ozarks (Glaize): Clear; bluegill and white bass good; black bass and catfish fair; all other species slow.
Lake of the Ozarks (Gravois): Clear; catfish good; crappie slow to fair; white bass and black bass slow.
Lake of the Ozarks (Niangua): Clear; black bass fair on crankbaits early a.m. and late p.m.; catfish good on prepared bait fished early a.m.; white bass good but small on Rooster Tails and cut shad; crappie are slow.
Lake of the Ozarks (Osage): Clear; bluegill and white bass good; black bass and catfish fair; all other species slow.
Mark Twain: Clear, 4' low; catfish excellent on trotlines and jug lines on liver; flathead catfish good on live bait; crappie good on minnows and light colored tube jigs; bass good early a.m. on surface lures and buzz baits; bluegill good on worms.
Pomme de Terre: Clear, slightly below normal pool; catfish excellent in mouths of coves using cut bait and stinkbaits on limblines, trotlines and pole and line; black bass good on points using plastic worms, Salty Craws and spinnerbaits; crappie good around docks and stumps at 4-12' depths using minnows and jigs; walleye good off shallow points trolling with wiggle warts; bluegill good around docks and near banks using worms and crickets.
Schell-Osage (Atkinson Lake): All species slow.
Schell-Osage (Schell Lake): All species slow.
Table Rock (James River Arm): Clear, 5' below power pool; black bass fair on nightcrawlers and plastic baits; bluegill fair to good on worms and crickets; channel catfish fair on pole and line as well as trotlines; white bass fair while trolling; all other species slow.
Taneycomo: Clear; rainbow trout good; brown trout good on salmon eggs, earthworms, doughbait, minnows, furbugs, and Rapala's.
Truman tailwaters: No report given.
Truman: Clear, slightly below normal pool; catfish fair to good in shallow coves and flats using shad on pole and line; white bass fair off flats and points trolling with spinnerbaits and spoons; all other species slow.
Wappapello: Normal recreational pool; bass fair in early a.m. and late p.m. on spinnerbaits; bluegill fair on crickets; crappie fair on minnows and jigs in deep water; catfish fair on worms. NOTE: Anglers are encouraged to harvest bass under 11 inches (daily limit 6) to reduce the numbers of small bass in Wappapello Lake.
TROUT AREAS:
Bennett Spring: Clear, normal; trout good.
Maramec Spring: Clear, normal; fishing good.
Montauk: Clear, normal; rainbow trout good in early a.m.
Roaring River: Clear, normal; trout good.
