The weekly fishing report from the Missouri Department of Conservation:

RIVERS:

Black (upper): Clear, 1' abovg slow.

Castor (upper): Clear, normal; goggle eye and bluegill excellent, all other species fair.

Current: Clear, normal, goggle-eye good on natural bait, all other fishing slow.

Eleven Point: Dingy, 1' above normal, all species fair.

Jack's Fork: Muddy, 2' above normal; goggle-eye fair on nightcrawlers and small plastic grubs.

Mississippi (lower): Murky, rising; catfish and non-game fish good using worms and cut bait on trotlines, limblines and pole and line.

St. Francis (lower): Slightly muddy, normal; crappie slow, bluegill poor, bass fair.

St. Francis (upper): Clear, normal; goggle-eye good on worms and minnows.

LAKES:

Clearwater: Clear, 1' above normal; crappie good along banks on jigs and minnows; all other species fair.

Duck Creek: Clear, full; bass good on crankbaits; crappie fair on jigs and minnows; bluegill fair on crickets and worms; catfish poor, 50 percent vegetation.

Lake of the Ozarks (Bagnell tailwaters): Normal, muddy; all fishing slow.

Lake of the Ozarks (Glaize): Clear; crappie and black bass good, white bass and catfish fair; all other species slow.

Lake of the Ozarks (Gravois): Clear; crappie good; black bass and catfish fair; white bass fair to poor.

Lake of the Ozarks (Niangua): Clear; black bass fair on spinnerbaits and topwaters around docks; white bass fair using jigs and shad sides; channel catfish good on shad guts and minnows; crappie good over beds with minnows and jigs; walleye good on nightcrawlers and minnows fished deep; sunfish good on worms and jigs.

Lake of the Ozarks (Osage): Clear; crappie and black bass good; white bass and catfish fair; all other fishing slow.

Table Rock (lower): Clear, 1' above power pool; black bass fair to good on crankbaits and with plastic baits (worms and grubs) half-way back in coves and fishing deep; all other species fair to poor.

Table Rock (upper): Below normal, murky; black bass fair to good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits; channel catfish fair; crappie fair on jigs and minnows around cedar tops; white bass spotty; bluegill fair to good on nightcrawlers and live minnows.

Taneycomo: Clear, above normal due to recent heavy rains and power generation; rainbow trout and brown trout fair on worms, minnows, corn and Power Baits.

Wappapello: Murky, normal; crappie good on minnows and jigs; bass good on spinnerbaits; bluegill fair on crickets and worms.

TROUT AREAS:

Bennett Spring: Off color, slightly up, trout good.

Maramec Spring: Murky, high; fishing slow.

Montauk: Clear, normal, rainbow trout good in early a.m.

Roaring River: Clear, normal; trout good.
