FISHING HOT LINES

SPRINGFIELD -- The Illinois "Fishing Hot Line" is now available.

Anglers may call the Department of Conservation's toll-free numbers, 1-800-624-3077 for fishing conditions throughout Illinois.

"Avid anglers have depended on our hot lines each year for up-to-date information on where the fish are biting," said DOC director Mark Frech. "One quick call, and anglers know where to drop their lines."

The Land Between the Lakes fishing report is also now available by calling (502)-924-1245.

The report gives Kentucky and Barkley lake elevations, water temperature, weekend weather forecasts, fishing updates and a special "fishing tip of the week."
