SPRINGFIELD -- Two Illinois "Fishing Hot Lines" will be available starting April 2. Anglers may call the Department of Conservation's toll-free numbers, 1-800-624-3077 for fishing conditions throughout Illinois. In the Chicago area, anglers may call (312)-814-4024 for fishing updates in Northern Illinois, including Lake Michigan, the Chain O' Lakes and the Fox, Kankakee and Illinois rivers.
