Hillin and Clark, a certified public accounting firm, is observing its 25th anniversary.
The firm, founded by James Hillin in 1971, moved to its offices at 1917 William in 1978.
When the firm started, it consisted of Hillin and two employees. In 1979, Dwayne Clark became a partner, and the named was changed to Hillin & Clark, P.C.
Hillin and Clark, with offices in Cape Girardeau and Hayti, now consists of the two partners and 14 employees.
It is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. It also is a member of the Private Companies Practice section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which requires members to undergo peer reviews.
Hillin and Clark had its first peer review in 1990.
Practice areas include auditing, income tax services for business and individuals, financial statement preparation, accounting, payroll check writing, estate and personal financial planning and business consulting.
