SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A Southwest Missouri firefighter has pleaded innocent to arson and burglary charges.
James Justice and Terry L. McConnell are each charged with second-degree arson and second-degree burglary, both felonies.
Justice, 20, of Republic, pleaded innocent Friday and is scheduled for trial Nov. 4.
Justice and McConnell were with the Brookline Fire Department.
Prosecutors think Justice and McConnell started a fire at an abandoned house Feb. 4, 2000, by pouring gasoline and charcoal lighter fluid on the floor.
