Members of the department's technical rescue team and area fire departments practiced skills training using a ResQ Tube and associated equipment. In a morning classroom session, the inherent dangers associated with grain bins and the fatalities and close calls that happen annually were discussed. The equipment and training was provided through donations from Agri Systems of Cape Girardeau and Jackson, Co-op Service Center of Jackson-Whitewater, MFA Agri-Services of Jackson, Auto Tire and Parts, Fisher Auto Parts of Jackson and Midwest Grain and Barge Co.
