Finals of entrepreneurial contest to be held today at mall

Today is the final round of a contest that will allow one entrepreneur to win space in West Park Mall and advertising space in the Southeast Missourian.

Open to residents 18 and older of Cape Girardeau and surrounding counties, the "You're In Business" contest has featured rounds that included business plan of 250 words or less and, for those advancing to the next round, a 20-page detailed business plan that consisted of charts, financial data and graphs.

Beginning at 9 a.m. inside West Park Mall, an oral presentation given by the first contestant will be held before judges in a private room. The winner will be announced at noon at the mall's center court.

In addition to the contest finals, a job expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature vendors and suppliers of various kinds.
