Filing to open soon for school board positions

Filing for school board positions will run Dec. 18 to Jan 22, with an election April 8. In Jackson, three positions are open on the seven-person board. Terms are three years. Board vice president Mack Illers, Terri Tomlin and Dr. T. Wayne Lewis can either run for re-election or vacate their seats. In Cape Girardeau, three positions are open, with board president Dr. Steve Trautwein, Tom Reinagel and Martha Hamilton having the option of running for re-election. Residents can file at the district administrative offices, 301 N. Clark Ave. in Cape Gir-ardeau or 614 E. Adams St. in Jackson.
