Filing for local, state and federal offices opened this week for the Aug. 6 Missouri primary election.
Local candidates may file with the Bollinger County clerk. The remainder file with the Secretary of State. The deadline to file is Tuesday, March 26.
Open in Missouri at the federal level are eight U.S. representatives and one U.S. senator.
At the state level are governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, state treasurer, 17 state senators from odd-numbered districts and 163 state representatives.
Local offices available are circuit court judges and associate circuit judges; two county commissioners, sheriff, county clerk, county treasurer, county collector and county recorder.
