Cape Girardeau police officers are looking for a silver sedan said to have hit an 18-year-old female driving a scooter at around 4:45 p.m. today at Good Hope Street and Spanish Street.

An ambulance was called to the scene, where the victim was treated for minor cuts to her right arm and put in a neck brace before being transported to a nearby hospital.

Witnesses on scene said a silver car was traveling north on Spanish Street when they hit the scooter driver. The car continued on Spanish Street, they said, and didn't stop at the scene.
