FEBRUARY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH NAMED BY ELKS

Daniel Newton and Jamie Ann Filer have been named Students of the Month for February by Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.

Newton, 17, is a senior at Notre Dame High School where he participates in basketball, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, Scholar Bowl and publications. He attended Missouri Boys State and Missouri Business Week.

He is the son of Ken and Connie Newton.

Filer, 17, is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School where she performs with the high school orchestra. She also participates with the Southeast Missouri State University orchestra.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Burnett.
