Former Cape County judge's family meets

Descendants of the former Cape Girardeau County Judge Phillip Charles Kasten and his wife, Catherine Richter, recently gathered for a reunion in Jackson. Approximately 50 relatives from Jackson, Leopold, Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Kentucky and Illinois attended the occasion. The afternoon was spent visiting, reminiscing and viewing old family photos.

Crader family reunites, plans future work day

About 80 people were in attendance at the 2004 Crader family reunion held recently at Cape County Park North. The cemetery board met and planned a work day for October. An auction and donations raised $1,164.75 for the Crader cemetery fund. Newcomers to the reunion were from Illinois, Michigan and Oklahoma. The reunion planned for 2005 will be the second Sunday in June.

Milde family plans meeting for August

Descendants of Joseph and Rosalia Milde will meet at noon Aug. 1 for the Milde family reunion at Delmonico's restaurant in Jackson. Bring photos, clippings and information to add to an updated family history book planned for the future. For more information, call Mary Talley at 243-4674.
