For the most part, visitors to the 151st SEMO District Fair can expect the same kind of fair experience they've had for the last few years.

However, some changes have been made to the fair's activities this year -- changes that fair board president Pete Poe hopes will help families make the fair an enjoyable experience while saving some cash.

Poe said this year the fair has added a new activities tent for cildren called the Kidz Zone. The tent will offer activities like face painting and puppet shows and give children a chance to be a "farmer for a day."

All the activities are free, Poe said.

The tent will be next to the 4-H exhibit hall.

Another change that was made to the fair this year -- an additional night of the Outlaw Tractor Pull is scheduled Monday night. The demolition derby that usually took place on Monday has now been moved to Tuesday.

And Poe said this year's horse show will have a "new look" on Sunday. The fair is keeping the new look a surprise.
