An associate professor of voice and opera at Southeast Missouri State University will present a vocal recital tonight at 7:30 at Old St. Vincent's Church.
Louisa Panou-Takahashi will perform music by Paisiello, Satie, Poulenc and Kostantinides, in addition to duets from popular musical theater and operatic songs. Accompanying Panou-Takahashi in the recital will be Southeast Missouri State University department of music faculty members Paul Thomson, flute; Gary Miller, piano; and Christopher Goeke, tenor.
Panou-Takahashi has received degrees from St. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Kent State University, and Florida State University. She has performed in Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Greece, and the United States.
