COLUMBIA -- Students at the University of Missouri-Columbia's College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, honored two of their profession recently.
Jerry West, agricultural economist, was named "Adviser of the Year," and Michael F. Smith, animal scientist, was presented the "Green Chalk Award" for excellence in teaching.
The awards were presented during the student-faculty spring banquet sponsored by the Agriculture Divisional Student Council.
West teaches courses in principles of agricultural economics, agriculture prices and agriculture policy.
Smith conducts research and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in animal reproduction and physiology.
