Cape Girardeau County residents may vote for members of the University Extension Council by mailing ballots or delivering them to the Extension Center, 684 West Jackson Trail in Jackson on or before Jan. 30.
Ballots will appear in local newspapers this week and are also available at the Extension Center in Jackson. Those wanting to complete a ballot should vote for eight of the 16 nominees.
Nominees include Darrell Aufdenberg of Jackson, vice president/branch manager at Capaha Bank in Jackson; Elizabeth Aufdenberg of Burfordville, Jackson schools food service director; Sue Birk of Burfordville, bookkeeper for Birk Trucking and server at Estes Deli; Diane Diebold of Jackson, county collector; Alan Estes of Jackson, self employed in deli and catering service; Anne Foust of Cape Girardeau, horticulturist; Jeff Gholson of Jackson, farmer; Jerome Hall of Cape Girardeau; William E. Meyer of Cape Girardeau, retired from the agriculture department at Southeast Missouri State University; Wes Mueller of Cape Girardeau, chairman in the department of agriculture, at Southeast Missouri State University; Elsie Peetz of Jackson, secretary of patient education at Southeast Missouri Hospital; Joyce Proctor of Friedheim, daycare provider; Michael W. Schemel Sr. of Jackson, salesman, BBL Buildings and Components; Bill Vickery of Cape Girardeau, training coordinator Southeast Missouri State University Small Business Development Center; Pam Walther of Jackson, secretary at SEMO Ag and Dairy; Chris Weiss of Jackson, lawyer.
