Kristin Reinagel has been named Student of the Month for December by the Cape Girardeau Exchange Club.
Reinagel is a senior at Notre Dame High School and a member of the National Honor Society and the Quill and Scroll Honor Society. She also received the 1995 Danforth "I Dare You" Leadership award.
Trisha Weber, Felisha Session and Adam Vickery were named Students of the Month for December by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.
The students are selected based on citizenship, achievement, scholarship and leadership. Each student is nominated by teachers or classmates.
Weber, 18, of Scott City is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Weber.
She is a senior at Scott City High School and is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, science club, Student Council and Scholar Bowl. She is also a recipient of the Presidential Academic Fitness Award. She plans to study elementary education in college.
Session, 17, is the granddaughter of Ruby Session of Cape Girardeau. She is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School.
Session is a member of Team Spirit, math club, Spanish club, Student Council and the debate club. She hopes to attend college and become a pediatric oncologist after graduation.
Vickery, 17, of Cape Girardeau is a senior at Notre Dame High School. He is the son of Judy Vickery.
He is senior class president, a member of the Spirit Club, National Honor Society, Students Against Driving Drunk and plays soccer. He plans to study law at college.
January students of the month are Kara Westrich of Kelso, Marlgorzata Stepak of Scott City, Leah Wessel and Julie Stoverink of Cape Girardeau.
Westrich was named the student of the month by the Cape Girardeau Exchange Club and is a senior at Scott City High School.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Homemakers of America, science club, FBLA and the band. She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University in the fall.
Stepak, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stepak of Scott City.
She is a senior at Scott City High School and is a member of the pep club, science club, Future Business Leaders of America and Upward Bound.
Stepak entered Scott City as a freshman from Poland. She spoke very little English but is now bilingual. She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University and study art education.
Wessel, 17, of Cape Girardeau is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Wessel. She is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Latin Club, Young Life, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She hopes to play basketball while attending college and study physical therapy.
Stoverink, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stoverink of Cape Girardeau.
She is a senior at Notre Dame High School where she is a member of the concert choir, SADD, National Honor Society, student council and Future Business Leaders of America.
She plans to major in music therapy in college.
