Patrick Naeger, a former state representative from Perryville, was recently appointed to serve on the Missouri SenioRx Prescription Drug Commission by House Speaker Catherine Hanaway.
Naeger was the lead Republican sponsor of the legislation when the commission was established during the 2001 special legislative session.
The commission is responsible for oversight of the state's SenioRx prescription drug program, which is aimed at providing financial assistance for senior citizens who are unable to get affordable drug coverage elsewhere.
Naeger served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1995 to 2002 and served in the second-highest Republican leadership post the last two years.
