ESTER A. SIMPSON

CAIRO, Ill. -- Ester A. Simpson, 87, of Cairo, died Thursday, June 9, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born July 9, 1906, at Greenway, Ark., daughter of Frank and Jennie Waddell. She married John M. Simpson, who died Dec. 29, 1955.

She was a member of Cairo Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John F. Simpson of Cairo, John M. Simpson Jr. of Mountain Home, Ark.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Ark.
