Southeast Missouri State University has 15 more students enrolled in classes this spring than a year ago, school officials said.

Total undergraduate and graduate enrollment stands at 9,758 students, according to fourth-week final enrollment figures.

Southeast has 8,440 undergraduate students, up less than 1 percent from a year ago, officials said.

Southeast has fewer freshmen, a reflection of the drop in freshmen who enrolled last fall, school officials said.

The university has more sophomores, juniors and seniors, officials said. Total graduate student headcount stands at 1,318, down 3.9 percent from a year ago, officials said.

University enrollment grew by 1,793 graduate and undergraduate students during the first month of the spring semester.
