ENGAGMENTS: THOMPSON-SHOWMAKER

JACKSON, Mo. -- Tammie Lyn Thompson and Mathew Todd Showmaker announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Roberta "Bobbi" Gerecke of Jackson and Terry Thompson of St. Johns. Showmaker is the son of Edward and Norma Showmaker of Anna, Ill.

Thompson is a graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau.

Showmaker is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. He is employed at Baker Implement Co. in Cape Girardeau.

A July 22 wedding is planned in Jackson.
