U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO) has announced that former staff member Michelle Dimarob has rejoined the Emerson staff as the Communications Director in Emerson's Washington, DC office. Dimarob, who recently relocated to Washington, DC returns to the Emerson staff after spending most of the past year in Missouri.
In announcing Dimarob's position Emerson commented, "I am pleased to welcome Michelle back to the Emerson family. Although she has been away from the Eighth District for a little while, she has come back to us the same hardworking individual as she was when she was with us just a few years ago. Her experience and energetic attitude are an asset to the Emerson team."
As Communications Director for Emerson, Dimarob will be responsible for the day to day functions related to Representative Jo Ann Emerson who is serving her fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Dimarob will be responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with both the local, state, and national media. In addition, she will coordinate her efforts with Emerson's Eighth District offices to ensure that information regarding issues affecting the district reach the constituents of Southern Missouri.
Dimarob, who originally served as Communications Director to Emerson during the 105th Congress and during her first re-election, is no stranger to the Show Me State. After completing her time with Emerson in 1998, Dimarob was the Press Secretary to then Chairman Jim Talent (R-MO) for the House Committee on Small Business. Most recently she served as the Communications Director for the Talent for Governor Organization, where she acted as spokesperson and managed all communications for the statewide campaign.
